One Love Generation mentee, Joshua, completed 16 laps (3 more than his goal) for his Roll-a-thon to raise money for his wheelchair basketball team.  He was the 2nd highest fundraiser with loads of support from our OLG mentors.  The team goal was to raise $1,000 and they raised $3,000!!  Jessi even went to GA State to lend her support in person.  This was the most incredible news of the day.  So proud of Joshua and how our group was able to come together to support him.  What a well-rounded young man. Happiness rating: 9.0

Sunday was the most intense day (and longest 8 am-2 am) of the weekend course.  But it was beautiful.  I choose a picture of myself to represent this day.  What it all comes down to is you.  You are all who matters.  Not in a selfish way, but in a way of truth.  How you feel about yourself and your life without looking through the lens of a parent, partner, friend - that is all that matters.  THAT IS HAPPINESS.  Being proud of you.  Loving you.  Approving of yourself.  That is it.  Happiness rating: 10.0

This weekend I participated in a course all weekend long.  My role was to be there to support a student who was doing a lot of emotional work.  We can’t take pictures there so there so I am using other photos to represent the weekend.  This is a photo I took outside a friend’s apartment and the saying “Love makes the world go around” was etched in the sidewalk.  This weekend I witnessed more love in one place than I have ever seen.  It allowed me to love in the deepest way I have ever loved other people.  It was an amazing opportunity to really know grace that I hope I carry with me always. Friday I was working on my submission for the Leah and Mark photography internship  program starting in April.  First off, answering the essay questions was very cathartic.  I hope they are photographers and therapists.  Next, I need to submit a portfolio of photographs.  Since most of the pictures I take are of personal experiences it was great to stroll down memory lane.  This photo is one of my favorites and captures my service trip to Nicaragua.  Something shifted in me during that trip.  Should it be in my portfolio? Happiness rating: 8.0

Huge donation of tables, chairs, shelves for One Love. I felt as if I had won the lottery. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure for certain. Hard work, but very gratifying. Can’t wait to see these in use. Happiness rating: 9.0

Today is a happy day. One of my dearest friends is celebrating his birthday (secretly) and I was able to have breakfast (peanut butter french toast) with him. Grateful for this guy and his awkward photos. Friends don’t get much better than him. P.S. Ladies he is SINGLE! Happiness rating 8.0 (would be a solid 9.0 if he didn’t want to ignore his birthday so much)
